We’re ringing in the New Year with some great news!

On January 13th, the Czech Republic and Slovakia join the BlaBla community! That means we’re bringing Trusted carpooling to even more of Europe; city-to-city travel has never been so easy.

BlaBlaCar has joined forces with a local carpooling platform called Jizdomat, and now the community, as well as new ridesharers, are able to reap the added benefits BlaBlaCar brings. For example, our easy to use website with more posted rides, and our sleek app.

5 more things you didn’t know about the Czech Republic and Slovakia

  • It’s a great place to go for a ski holiday.

skiIt isn’t well known, but the Czech Republic has some amazing ski resorts, such as the Beskydy mountains which border with Slovakia. If you’re sick of waiting in line for the chair lift and avoiding crashing into people on the slopes, then this is the place for you.

Pilsner Urquell is a Czech favourite – they’ve been brewing it since 1842! It’s the world’s first ‘Pilsner’ (aka blond lager) and so it has inspired more than two-thirds of the beer produced in the world today.
